外婆的母系家庭歷史

今天開始要講到我外婆賴惠華的⺟親陳錦碧⽅⾯的家庭歷史。外婆是⼀位現代的⼀⼈，就 是説有接受教育，和⽣活在⽐較現代的社會環境。例如，男⼈和⼥⼈都有平等受教育的機 會的。她的⺟親是陳錦碧，是家中的⽼⼤。有四個妹妹三個弟弟。他們的媽媽郭𡐓和陳贊 醫⽣結婚⽣了8個⼩孩。郭𡐓的丈夫在36歲時就因為腸病毒⽽死去，留下⼀個年輕的郭𡐓 和七個從⼀歲到九歲的孩⼦，這位媽媽的肚⼦裡還有⼀個快要出⽣的⼩娃娃。真是令⼈感 到很擔⼼。 可是她是很堅強的⼈，她⾃⼰去唸書成為⼀位助產⼠，因此她就利⽤她的經驗和訓練幫助 別⼈接⽣⼩孩，來養她8個年紀很⼩的孩⼦。她的⼩孩個⼦不⾼，⽽且年紀都很接近，她 說，每⼀次去坐⽕⾞或巴⼠時，她就只要買⼀張票，⼋個孩⼦都不須要買⾞票，因為他們 ⾼度都沒有超過紅線。這真是很好笑的事情。她是⼀個了不起的媽媽！


Starting from today I shall talk about the family history of the mother side of my maternal grandmother, Lai Hui Hua. My maternal grandma is a person living in this modern generation, having received education and grown up in this modern environment where men and women have equal education opportunity. Her mother, Chen Jin Pi had totally 8 brothers and sisters and she was the eldest. There were 4 younger sisters and 3 brothers. Their mother, Kuo Dai married Dr. Chen Jarn who passed away at age 36 due to abdominal disease leaving behind a young mother Kuo Dai with 7 children ranging from 1 to 9 years in age, and a baby about to be born. Her friends worried about her. She was a very determined person. She went to study to become a midwife so that she could use her experience and training to deliver babies for other people to make a living to raise her 8 very young children. The children were all short and their ages were close to each other. Every time taking a bus or train ride, she bought only one ticket. The 8 children required no ticket because their height had not exceeded the red line mark. This was really funny. She was an unusually capable mother!
